In Dubai, for international students, visa or resident permit is required to be obtained. But it isn't difficult to obtain student visa because it is issued by university itself. The university you've chosen for studying in Dubai has authority to issue student visa for you. The requirements for students visa might be different depending upon the university.

The process normally takes 15-20 days and typically applications undergo a security check by UAE government authorities. You are advised to apply as early as possible if you require a Student Visa.

Applying for a Student Visa:

Once you have accepted your Offer of Admission and have cleared all academic conditions (if any), you should proceed to make your payment for tuition fees along with the student visa annual fee and the visa caution deposit. Upon receiving the full amount the University will apply for your Student Visa.

Documents required for Student Visa :-
The following documents are required for your Student Visa application:
1. Student Visa Application Form (Student Entry Permit)
2. Eight (8) passport size photographs taken with a white background
3. Student Enrolment Contract.
4. Signed Offer Letter (with no academic conditions)
5. Four (4) photocopies your passport (including pages showing UAE visit visa or residence visa, if application is made locally)
6. Copy of a personal bank statement showing minimum of 30,000AED (should be recent, original and sealed from the bank). Alternatively a financial sponsorship letter from parents or guardians indicating their willingness to bear the financial responsibility for your tuition and cost of living.
7. Photocopies of academic transcripts of previous studies
8. A copy of the receipt showing payment of full tuition and student visa charges
In the unlikely event that your visa application is not successful, the Visa Caution Deposit will be refunded. The UAE government may retain the annual visa fee.
